Ruins :These are leftover pieces of eras of bygone Long Island which have a story to tell. Examples include large abandoned facilities like the Kings Park Psychiatric Center or trolley tracks in a Northport roadway. We also include historic structures which have been restored and serve new purposes. We applaud those who restore and preserve such structures.
Around Town : Every Long Island neighborhood has its own historic and intriguing features. Here we walk you through our neighborhoods and examine ruins, historic places and points of interest.
History : This section covers history not necessarily connected to solely one place. We will introduce you to Long Island?s historic figures and events and show you some of the most interesting museums.
